Let's face it, the portal with immediate eligibility has made building depth as a long term project a thing if the past for most college athletic departments - this just may be a thing of the past.

Depth will have to, for the most part, be created year in and year out by use of the portal.

Yes it is. But unless I’m mistaken, it only applies the first time an athlete enters the portal. Can anyone else confirm?

So under current rules you can basically have two free transfers without sitting out - once under the portal at any time (the one free transfer) and then again after getting a degree?

OK. But to get a 2nd transfer without having to sit out, an athlete would have to have earrned his/her degree? Is that right?

If he gets a degree, he gets to transfer without siting out. I am not sure that is the only way to get a second chance. Somebody else would have to give that answer.

Position Players: Lada, Willis, Robertson, Kimple, Roccaforte, Brock, Brandon, Higgs (RS who will probably start in the OF next year. He was injured.)

Pitchers: Schultz, Talley, Perrin, Christie, Durke, Menard, Havard, Wilson

Some guys not returning aren't in the portal.

To the best of my knowledge this is accurate, though it's possible I'm missing someone.
