Won conference, conference tournament, played in final game of regionals. Lost to the team who lost to the national runner up. Not the finals result that we envisoned but by no stretch a bad year. 2020 was going to be the run.

Cajuns are 1 of 9 teams since 2000 to play in every regional put of 290 teams. Over 25 years ranked in top 25. Over 40 wins for last 25 plus years, 7 super regionals, 6 wcws.

I can promise you that not one of our head coaches over the past 20 years would have set the standard for expectations for any of their teams before the year started to be not to exit a regional as the regional champion. Each of their standards for a run would have been to advance past a regional.
