College football rankings?

I really wasn’t to concerned with football rankings ten years ago. It seemed like a pipe dream. I thought there were only two that meant anything. Now there’s like 20 different polls. Which ones are the most important?

Duh… the ones which have Louisiana ranked in the Top 25. My personal favorites are the ones that have the Cajuns ranked ahead of Alice Shoe.

The Associated Press rankings have been around since the 1930's. The Coaches Poll was born from the old UPI rankings then sometime in the 1980's became titled with USA Today and others since. Of course there's the scientific Sargarin and others. You're right though, most sports media outlets seem to have a weekly poll now. Heck, Ragin Pagin should consider its own weekly poll rankings this Fall, regardless of the fact we're a bunch of Ragin Cajun homers on here. Let's see how closely we match the big two and the CFP Poll that arrives later in the season.,
