granted this is a baseball rule, but wonder if the same sentiment would apply to softball. if not any insight as to why not would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
Rule 9.02(a) Comment: Players leaving their position in the field or on base, or managers or coaches leaving the bench or coaches box, to argue on BALLS AND STRIKES will not be permitted. They should be warned if they start for the plate to protest the call. If they continue, they will be ejected from the game.
also for stepping out of the box it seems leftys have started a trend to step out towards the plate with their back foot, but dont get called. is it bc not an advantage (even though i doubt rule calls for such reqt) or is it timing and swing considered over before the step?
