This win is in the VAULT.
Interesting thread, as always.
I've said this many times...as sideline coaches we think the way Tony thought because that's what we were used to.
Matt coaches differently. Very differently.
He had a quick hook Thursday because Cooke suddenly started laboring. He brought in Talley during the most critical time of the game and wanted him to face just six batters. Arrighetti did the rest.
Today, every pitcher on the staff is ready to go, with exception of Cooke. Carter Robinson starts today and Matt will take it one inning at a time. Good coaches coach differently during the tournament especially where pitching is concerned.
We may throw two or three guys today.. We may throw 7 or 8. We shall see.
Something we've done this weekend that we were poor at during the season is scoring with two outs. We need to keep that up.
Brian's preview of GS was spot on. They can really swing it.
It is really fun to watch the talent which comes out on the mound deep into conference tournaments.
Not sure when, but I am looking forward to Sam Riola getting back on the mound.
