Behind a three-hit shutout from Kandra Lamb No. 15 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball forced a winner-take-all contest on Sunday in the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional, but fell just short of a Super Regional appearance as No. 16 Louisiana State claimed the deciding contest 8-5.

I think we only had 2 wins against the big names. Beat OK State and Texas. Lost to LSU twice, Alabama twice, Texas once, OK State once and get beat badly by Baylor at home. That is a record of 2 and 7 against the major programs. Granted many of these games occurred right at the time 2 key players were injured and the team was just figuring out how to adjust at that time. Also, Kendra Lamb was not the pitcher then she was at season's end.
