Sure, there may have been a couple of calls that were outside of the strike zone that were called strikes, but, it was not an every pitch thing.

To try and blame the loss on the behind the plate umpire not being fair to both teams with the strike zone is just not right. It did not happen enough to affect the outcome of the game.

If you watched the games, it's very clear why the Cajuns are not moving on.
Louder for the people in the back.

Come on man. You are making yourself look bitter with posts like this. I pull for UL but I am a realist. Nobody to blame but themselves for not getting it done in Game 2. Glasco and the team will tell you that. They wore out the LSU 2nd baseman with groundballs hit to her. Also, 5k's with 3 swinging and 2 called. They just didn't have their A game in Game 2. Glasco basically said that the team was too passive in his in-game interview with the ESPN announcing crew and that they needed to starting "hacking" away at Kilponen. Said that they were taking too many pitches. I was pulling like hell for UL to beat LSU because on paper, they matched up pretty evenly with LSU in my opinion. Just wasn't UL's day. Tip my hat to Summer and to her career. She is a hell of a softball player and is very deserving of all of the accolades and awards that she has garnered during her years at UL. John and Cherie are some fantastic people and I know they are proud of Summer and her accomplishments.

I like hearing this. Makes yesterday’s loss a little easier to swallow.

Sounds like a failure of the coaching staff to properly game plan and why Glasco needs to get better so he does not become Marlin. If this program wants to be successful, then they need to be prepared for the postseason and not choke every time.

does this apply within a certain period of time? I generally agree with you about pitching but to me it has limits, dont forget what my original point was.

for instance, Summer is dominant, but she faced lsu at least 20 innings this season. who has the advantage the higher the innings go, hitters or pitcher? Another, Lamb had a shutout after 7 innings, but hitters started making better contact late in the game, and continued to get more comfortable into first 3 innings of 2nd game. those are just example from our team with lsu this year, but im sure you can find the same type of thing all across the college softball level.

regardless of our schedule with p5's, do you agree with how we utilize our ace pitcher against Lsu given, as you say we wont get to host anymore and we are always sent to B.R.?
Please re read my post. I did not say we will not ever get to host. I said it is getting almost impossible for a G5 team to host, especially the Cajuns because nobody wants to play us. Where did I said we were always sent to BR? Yes I agree with Lamb pitching the first game and starting the second game. She was the best we had Sunday. If good hitting eventually catches up to good pitching then why did our good hitting team that seen the pitcher for the 6th or 7th time in the same day after almost 200 pitches not win game 2?

By limiting runs and getting a few timely hits.

Extra innings in game 1 was the biggest contributing factor on sundays second game.

While we certainly need to play high caliber teams don't buy into this "we need P5 teams for RPI". It absolutely helps but historically our RPI has been hurt for other reasons. P5 teams have an advantage because even the bottom end of the conference usually does okay OOC and have the rest of the conference to lift them up. Biggest thing we can do is limit exposure to the really bad W/L teams OOC. Playing a three game series against an historically bad team in a historically bad conference is way worse than not playing a game against the LSU's of the world.
