There are 13 guys with more appearances than Burk. Love the kid but if you treat the other 3 games as must wins, he's likely only in for spot relief duty at best (which he can still be available for assuming he's only going a few innings.) I have no idea how someone can say it's a silly decision if you've paid any attention to the team

But I would love it if he started and won the title game for us.

He’s one of our better arms so instead of saving him for a meaningful game, you’re gonna waste 3 innings on him for a game that doesn’t matter and then hope to have him available in 4 days? Any team that did not play yesterday just has to beat the team who won on Tuesday from their group.

B: GS - GSU (Wed)

I think there needs to be a balance between a meaningless game and “don’t care if we lose”

I guess it would be worse if you were one of the team that lost yesterday and were eliminated and still have to come back Friday and play for no reason.
