Here are the standings heading into the final week:
EAST: USA 14-7, GS 12-9, Troy 12-9, APP 9-9, GSU 10-11, CCU 6-12
WEST: UTA 12-9, UL 11-10, LR 10-11, TXST 9-12, ULM 9-12, ASTATE 9-12
This week's schedule (all games Thur-Sat)
UTA at Georgia Southern
Troy at Louisiana
Little Rock at Georgia State
Texas State at Coastal
ULM at ASTATE
USA at APP
No one has clinched anything yet. In the East, South Alabama can finish no lower than fourth, and Coastal will be sixth unless they sweep and Georgia State gets swept. In case of a tie between CCU and APP, those teams did not play each other so the tie would be broken by their record whoever the #1 seed is.
South Alabama holds the tiebreaker over Troy, Georgia Southern has the tiebreaker over South and Troy has the tiebreaker over Georgia Southern.
In the West, just about everyone can finish everywhere from first to sixth. Only three games separate the six teams.
As far as the Cajuns are concerned, a series win would put them in the top two UNLESS Little Rock sweeps Georgia State. If there are tiebreakers, the Cajuns win tiebreakers vs. UTA, stAte and ULM. They lose tiebreakers to Texas State and Little Rock.
Here's what will happen to the Cajuns next week:
#1 seed: Wed 7pm against 6 West, Thu 7pm vs. 4 East
#2 seed: Thurs 3pm vs. 5 West, Friday 3p vs. 3 East
#3 seed: Tue 4pm vs. 5 East, Fri 7pm vs. 2 East
#4 seed: Tue 9a vs. 6 East, Thurs 11a vs. #1 East
#5 seed: Tue 12:30 vs. 3 East, Thur 3pm vs. 2 West
#6 seed: Tue 7:30 vs. 4 East, Wed 7pm vs. #1 West
Lots of scoreboard watching this weekend.
