The Cajuns would have been the home team if they were playing a team they haven't played yet or a team that they played already but the first time they were the visitors. We can't be the home team twice against the same team. Sun belt rules.

I wasn't arguing or questioning the Sun Belt rules. I was addressing the point that the #1 seed should automatically be the home team. To me, it is a bigger advantage for the #1 seed to get their choice. Will they choose to be the home team the majority of times, without a doubt, but giving them a choice is the ultimate advantage.
