believe it or not i thought this was a good thread. i still havent figured out what side of this issue i am on. but i have been curious, how do the players that stay feel, knowing they dont usually get their own thread. but hey jump in to the portal and now you are “almost famous”
When it comes to the portal I think that you have 4 years of eligibility & it’s your right to use them the way you want. If you aren’t happy you shouldn’t stay. Everyone against it I say this, would you want your kid staying in a situation for 4 years where they are unhappy because they committed to that choice at 17?! Carrie Boswell has been nothing but a class act at UL. She has been the ultimate teammate & fills whatever role the team needs from her. That home run against Florida last year lives rent free in my mind! She’s one of my favorite Cajuns but I wish her well. And you very well can have your name in the portal while still playing. You don’t have to transfer even if your name is in there. And Carrie is a kid of high character, I’d find it hard to believe she’d have her name in there without the blessing of Gerry.
If she is in the transfer portal, I agree with MelRock, I don't care what she does. She is leaving the program so she is no longer a part of it. I find it very odd that a player can play games while being in the transfer portal, that logic makes no sense to me. You are either all in, or you are all out. Cannot be on both sides.
Best of luck to Carrie.
And, Angel went into Matt's office and quit last Monday.
Help me - what has this coaching staff done during the last two years that has assisted Angel with control so that he would be in a position to stay in the game and on the mound and what do you suggest that they can do in the final 7 games and conference tournament to change what we have already seen from him?
