Generally I don't care much, but for Carrie B. I do. Carrie is a 1st class student athlete and has been a great ambassador for the university.

She can't be in the portal. She played today. You cannot be in the portal AND be on the team at the same time.

That is not the case at all. Carrie played today and on senior day. She has been in the transfer portal since 5-4-21. Conversely she could include a “do not contact” designation with her profile until the season is over. Everything is a case by case basis. There are numerous other players from other schools in the transfer portal and they are still playing for there current school.

Why such a ____ poor attitude about an athlete who has done everything asked of her, has been a great teammate, but maybe just wants a shot at more time on the field for one last season?

Once they move on they are no longer a Cajun and I do not care where they go. If they do not want to be here fine, move on. I do not care where they go. If they do it in the middle of a season they become a distraction. Again, bye.

Just my view on the situation. There is no if she is in the portal, she is. Kids transfer out all the time for many different reasons and Carrie hasn't been a distraction. Has anyone thought that just maybe she is happy here but would like to play more and just maybe the coaching staff has persuaded her to test the market and see what is out there? Some coaches have good hearts and will help place a kid. I am not saying that is the case here but it could be a possibility. What if she withdrawls her name and stays a Cajun with a lesser role? As of now she is still a Cajun and I support her.
