The Ragin' Cajuns outdoor track and field team was led by indoor Sun Belt Conference winner O'Daylon Thibeaux on Saturday as he placed first in the triple jump in the Louisiana Classics meet held at the UL Track and Soccer Complex.
Thibeaux jumped 15.02m (49-03.50) to capture first place for the Cajuns. He was the lone men's competitor to win his event as Antwain Keyes came in second in the high jump and pole vaulter Chris Roy did not participate.
For the women the team of April Colomb, Gabrielle Augustine, Paula Parker, Abigail Jenkins won the 4x400 relay with a time of 4:01.63. Kirsten Meche came in second in the javelin throw with a distance of 44.23m (145-01).
The men were consistently in the top five in field events. Jacob Domingue competed in three events, with his highest finish coming in the discus as he earned a second-place finish with a toss of 46.06m (151-01).
This meet was not scored on a team basis. The Cajuns will return to action next week when they head to the UL/South Alabama Duel in Mobile, Ala.
