    I think it was a DH that day as well and they did play the second game. Might want to double check that but I think that is correct.

    I only could find results going back to 1972.

    Yes, we lost the second game 10-13.

    The second game was only 7 innings. Back then, in the late 60s and early 70s, doubleheaders were two 7 inning games.

    What is even more amazing, the starting pitcher for McNeese (Ladd) went 17 innings, and the Cajuns' starter David Sanches went 18 innings.

    According to the box score in the newspaper the day after the game, the game lasted 5 hours and 3 minutes.
