Not sure why I keep thinking it’ll change, but is it setting up for every SEC team to make it in? Again?

We’re talking 11th, 12th and my goodness the 13th place team in that conference with a 3-15 conference record but a 33 RPI.

Unlikely, but possible. South Carolina is 3 games over .500. They have 3 in Lexington, who is fighting for a hosting site, and they have to play the play in game in the conference tournament. A losing record will keep them out of the tournament. They have to win 1 of the next 4 and they just lost the home series to Mississippi State, the team they are most likely to play in the play in game.

Even if they manage to get that 1 win, they currently have a 4-15 top 25 record, all within their conference. They have a 3-6 record against 26-50 and no games against 51-100. Their non-conference schedule strength is #176. They are 3-7 in their last 10 games. I know it's the SEC, but the Gamecocks probably need to show the committee a little something if they want to join the party.
