Very interesting comparison between the two pitchers. I'm glad they are both Ragin Cajuns.

First Ellyson has pitched 15 more innings than Lamb. 128-113. Ellyson is 16-5, Lamb is 14-4.

    Ellyson's ERA is 2.41, Lamb 2.16.

Ellyson has given up 107 hits. Lamb 74.

Ellyson has given up 53 runs, 44 of those earned. Lamb has given up 42 runs, 35 of those earned.

Ellyson has struck out 128 batters, Lamb 133.

Here's a striking statistic. Ellyson has given up 19 doubles. Lamb has given up only 5. I did not think Lamb had given up that few.

Ellyson has given up one triple and 10 home runs. Lamb has given up three triples and 15 home runs.

Ellyson has walked 20, Lamb has walked 35.

Opponents are hitting .219 against Ellyson, .180 against Lamb.

I think what one can conclude from these statistics, is, that both pitchers are having excellent years.

Ellyson is doing what was expected of her and Lamb has taken her game to the next level compared to the previous two years.

It's been a pleasure to watch Ellyson pitch over the past 5 years and to watch the improvement Lamb has made since she arrived from Australia.

Because Ellyson usually starts the first game of each series, she is generally considered the Ace. In reality, maybe we have two Aces.

    Your thoughts.

Great comparison. I would have trust in both of the ladies in the circle. Lamb does seem to tire quicker. She was pulled yesterday at 100 pitches.

I felt sorry for Lamb yesterday. She pitched really well, giving up only 3 hits (The inside the park homer was a joke, should have been at least 1 error) and the team played so poorly in the field and on the bases. They should have taken advantage of the first pitcher before Foutz came in.
