The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns dropped their final non-conference game of the 2021 college softball season on Sunday afternoon.
No. 5 Alabama was the first to take advantage of early scoring opportunities on Sunday at Rhoads Stadium and it proved to be the difference in a 5-1 win over No. 13 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball.
Not sure it is necessarily from them 'sending' runners, but I do agree they are being coached to be extremely aggressive on the base paths and it is carrying into the games.
Majority of base running is the player reading the play, as the play is in front of them except when scoring from 2nd base or going 1st to 3rd on a hit to RF.
Specifically on Bryan getting thrown out at 3rd in the 1st inning today, she has to read if the 3B came in to field the ball. If she does, you don't slow down and you beat the SS to the bag. This should've been a very easy read.
Go listen to this. It's ok to disagree with the approach and philosophy, but to question the coaches ability is off base.

This team HAS to be aggressive come tournament time. It’s not something you turn on and off with a switch. This team is good but Coach knows it will take aggression to make noise in the NCAA’s.
