What game were you watching? Kandra did not have a "bad" inning. The only bad inning was the first inning of yesterday's game. Besides that inning, Alabama did not exactly light it up at the plate. Teams have figure it out. If they walk Hemphill, Alabama has a hard time scoring. The only reason they have a shot of making it to the world series is because of Foutz's pitching.
Lamb didn’t have good backup in field today. Missed DP and miss read on inside park HR diff in final score. Anybody’s game otherwise. Glad Lamb had opportunity
Did not get to listen to game. Score?
5-1
Just like the Bama kid, I guess she should have made the catch also. We made base running errors that hurt more than anything. All you need is a dominate pitcher to dominate hitters. If you have a dominate pitcher than you can get by with a decent lineup, if you have a decent pitcher that can keep you in the game then you must be able to consistently hit the ball. We pitched good enough to win both games, we didn't hit, field or run the bases good enough to win. The silver lining in this is we know where our weakness is and we have about 3 weeks or so to get it fixed. There is a strong possibility we could have Dalton back this weekend in a very limited role, maybe pinch runner if needed.
We will sweep both of those teams. It is her last year and she wants to play. Might be the only way to contribute. Dalton is our best base runner on the team. Notice I didn't say fastest. We could use some smart base running from what we have seen this weekend. I would rather Dalton on the bases than some of the starters that we have on the bases. If she can't bat we could use some late inning defensive help at 1st also.
