Abbeville - Some Abbeville streets see first repairs in nearly a decade

Independent of street projects ongoing with the Vermilion Parish Police Jury, the City of Abbeville currently has parts of some 38 streets within city limits being repaired on its own with $600,000 it received earlier from a Louisiana Community Block Grant (CBG). For the past two weeks, crews have been doing major overlays on streets that haven’t seen work in a decade.
