Why would you even mention again the OF when I corrected an obvious typo - because you are nothing but a Dick like can be inferred from the post of another poster.

Now I’m done because you would rather derail your own thread and post about Vic than acknowledge that another fan might also enjoy Cajuns softball and show that they also know something about our team.

Sir the thread was derailed starting on post #2 by you. I asked a simple two part question which you didn't answer and pushed it to a coaching decision. I didn't ask about team injuries, team excuses, or the status of 15 possible starters. Try answering the questions instead of skating around it and adding to the question with no relevant information. A lot of folks know about this team and a lot knows more than me, but to be honest I have got numerous text messages and personal messages asking me to just ignore you.

I will attempt to take a crack at in. Keep in mind I am not the coach and this is assuming Dalton and O'Neil comes back 100 percent with the same skill set. Dalton will play if she can because this is her last year. O'Neil has the medical red shirt in her back pocket and could use it instead of playing just the last portion of the year and burning a year.

Outfield= Talley LF, Bryan CF, O'Neil RF....I don't think they move Bryan. They could have Talley go to left and O'Neil to right to take advantage of O'Neil speed and Talley arm. But I think it easier to move 1 player than it is to move 2.

Catcher=Unless she is hurt Rawls will stay at catcher.

Infield= Alderick 3rd, Dalton SS, Gortarez 2B, Mayeax 1B, Milz DP. Mayeax has done a great job at SS, but I think if you put Dalton at first where she would field more throws, then you run the risk of extra pounding on the glove hand. At SS she would only field and squeeze the glove if the ball was hit to her. Just my 2 cents.

    Great question by the way.

Didn't think about O'Neil having the medical redshirt-when she transferred did she have to sit a year? I think that factors into whether or not she would take the redshirt. Also I think the entire team mentality is OKC or bust (which I love by the way). So in that case O'Neil may want to contribute in whatever role needed by the team and forgo saving the year of eligibility. I'll add this too, not many teams out there could suffer the amount of injuries to key players & still maintain this level of play. We may have dropped a few games that we could/should have won but I think we did well considering and we keep improving.

Yes she sat out a season. Texas Tech wouldn't release her. Well a few on here will say injuries are excuses, lol

Since I can't attend games, I'm not going to have much more than peripheral knowledge of the team. There's probably enough games left in the season to put Dalton back at shortstop and Mayeux at first, O'Neal in center and Bryan in right, which is where they were when the injuries occurred, without too much "damage" to the flow of the team. With only 11 games left in the regular season (I'm counting the conference tournament as 3 games), I can't see Gerry making any drastic changes this close to postseason for fear of affecting any momentum the team would have. Personally, I would prefer Raina keep the redshirt and Alissa return to the lineup and shortstop.

Thats probably what will happen with O'Neil. Doesn't pay to waste a year on a handful of games.
