Greg Williams is coming back home.

The former Lafayette Christian Academy basketball star and three-year letterman at St. John’s University has announced he is transferring to the University of Louisiana

This team needs immediate help and this is the guy who can give it to you. He will be a solid replacement for Cedric Russell. Anybody who averaged 9.5 in the big east will be a big help.

With Russell returning how do you see the two being used?

I think it was mentioned that Williams is comfortable playing the PG spot so you could very well see him take that role depending on what happens to Harper. I think if Harper stays, its possible he could be the PG with Russell at the SG spot and maybe Williams at the SF spot moving Julien to PF

I would expect Russell and Williams to be the starting backcourt. I would think Williams would handle the majority of PG duties much like Mylik Wilson did last year after Au was out for the season.

It would be interesting to see the starting combinations in conference. Playing against some of the smaller spread offenses in the league, I'm curious if Marlin would go with 2 bigs to have to cover the perimeter.

Well, that's good news. Mr. Harper has elite talent...more impressive than Elfrid his first year.

Well, none of Bob's teams as UL's coach had this much height. It will be very interesting to see what does with it. He will have more flexibility with this group which will provide ample evidence of his coaching acumen.
