_ Tim Floyd is one of the best college basketball coaches period. Probably a top 5 coach. Of course he would not stay at UL for years, but this would still be a great great hire. I remember when he came to UNO and took the predicted last place team with no player taller than 6'5 to the american south title and tourney. Then within a couple of years he had a legitimate top 25 basketball team at UNO of all places. His teams at Iowa St. and USC both did much better than expected and quickly became among the country's top 15 or so teams. Even at Idaho he was winning games. _

I think this is the attention getter UL needs to demonstrate that they are still committed to winning basketball at a high level, particularly after standing pat last year. You need a marketable name for fund raising purposes.
