Assuming Floyd is cleared, then bring him on board ASAP. As far as Washington is concerned, the guy was a headcase in high school hence why LSU stopped recruiting the guy.

And how would this former player know anything about what Floyd is thinking? Is he close to Floyd? If he wasn't interested, why did Floyd pick up the phone and contact us and why did he get interviewed immediately after Lee's dismissal? I'll believe the other sources saying that there is a lot of mutual interest there.

I think it's more because the Athletic Dept. isn't leaky ANY information. While that is driving a lot of us crazy it's probably for the better. I think we will have our answer soon. I like almost all of the people that have been discussed on this board. I just hope it's not some off the wall hire like Danny Broussard.

Tim Floyd is one of the best college basketball coaches period. Probably a top 5 coach. Of course he would not stay at UL for years, but this would still be a great great hire. I remember when he came to UNO and took the predicted last place team with no player taller than 6'5 to the american south title and tourney. Then within a couple of years he had a legitimate top 25 basketball team at UNO of all places. His teams at Iowa St. and USC both did much better than expected and quickly became among the country's top 15 or so teams. Even at Idaho he was winning games.
