One possible scenario involves the coach who recruited him to USC, Tim Floyd. Neworleans.com reported Wednesday that according to a source, Floyd, who is currently an assistant coach with the New Orleans Hornets, interviewed for the open head coaching position at Louisiana Lafayette. (Floyd did not immediately return phone calls.) That report stated that school officials requested information from the NCAA on Floyd's status, as it has been alleged that he once paid the advisor to former USC player O.J. Mayo. Floyd appeared before the NCAA Committee on Infractions in February at a hearing involving the nearly four-year investigation into allegations of major NCAA rules violations at USC.

It's all speculation until he is cleared and signed. Until then, nothing is certain and that should be obvious. However, I don't know if I'd want a guy like this Washington. I don't know how truly talented he is but he seems to be a Roberson type of guy and that could always hurt things with a new coach and team. However, we also need a lot of help on the frontline this year so who knows...But again, its all speculation right now.

I heard today from a former player that Floyd really does not want to be here. That bothers me because I don't want him to "settle for being the UL head coach". I also heard that Felton really does not want to be here. Floyd may or may not be cleared. and Kennedy is not going to come here. So we either get Butch or a coach from the Southland. What is wrong with this picture?
