Thread: Baseball is/was getting awfully close to "2 before 1"

    Right now they are...

    4-0
    6-1
    8-2
    10-3

    ...away from two before one.

That loss today was a RPI killer just like any other loss will be for the rest of season. I really think we need to win the tourney to get in.

A loss is a loss. If you made this loss to Arkansas State a win and made one of the Coast Carolina wins (or the TCU win) a loss, it would amount to the same regarding the RPI.

It is the weak SOS down the stretch that is the killer.

I would like to see us treating these games as must wins ... rather than treating them as "development" opportunities. Throw your best at the opposition and seize the momentum early in the game. Then if you build a comfortable lead, you have the luxury to develop some players/pitchers.

You mean running 3 freshman arms out there wasn’t a must win mentality?? And having a guy batting .000 in the cleanup spot isn’t a must win mentality??

.....one of the craziest games I have seen.....one of the most courageous efforts I have seen going for the ball in centerfield and hitting the wall....it was a flash but looked like he had possession before the fence contact.....regardless great effort.....was there any records for homers in an inning? Anyway...keep it going guys!

It's only happened like 3 times in the big leagues. Not sure about D1 though

speaking of philosophy, how about “not allowing a crooked number in an inning”, or something to that effect. was that invented by Robe, ive been hearing it elsewhere lately.... and is their a diminishing return, once they get to eleven they are straight again, one could also argue four and seven?

you people are a joke...the only reason the team is winning is because they are now playing games in the SUN WORST...TCU stomped them twice...a weak LSU team embarrassed them and Southern Miss dominated them...your only quality win was TECH at home 2-0...WOW! Just keep playing in the SUN WORST and you will think you are good...has it really been over 20 years since you have been to the CWS...by the way robichaux stole most of his isms from someone else...ie HOLD THE ROPE originated in BR...stop putting the guy on a throne...his last few seasons were poor...lastly it is a shame that a man as great as Tigue Moore has to have his name associated with a felon...
