Louisiana Baseball will look to extend its season-high win streak to six games as it takes on Nicholls on Tuesday night at M.L. 'Tigue' Moore Field at Russo Park, with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m.

The Ragin' Cajuns (17-11, 5-1 Sun Belt) are coming off an impressive weekend, sweeping ULM and erasing a seven-run deficit in the final game of the series.

Nicholls (13-13, 8-4 Southland) holds an impressive 8-4 record in conference play. The Colonels are a very solid pitching team, posting a team 3.80 ERA, but are only hitting .216.

ELITE Company
Spencer Arrighetti is one of the most dominant pitchers in the country. The right-hander joins Vanderbilt's Jack Leiter and Kumar Rocker as the only pitchers in all of college baseball who post a sub-1.00 ERA, minimum 40.0 innings pitched.

Stolen Base Record
Carson Roccaforte etched his name into the Louisiana record book this past week by becoming the first player in school history to swipe five bases in a single game. The freshman also hit .471 in four games, collecting two-straight four-hit games against Coastal Carolina and ULM. Not only did he break the school record for single game stolen bases, he even scored five runs on the week. With his impressive showing at the plate, Roccaforte climbed the Sun Belt rankings moving into 10th place in total batting average (.337) and seven place in total hits (37).

Big-Game Dave
David Christie was great on the mound last week for the Ragin' Cajuns. His April 3 outing against ULM was impressive, earning his first career win and helping Louisiana to an 11-9 victory. The true freshman gave up zero earned runs against ULM, helping the Cajuns seal a seven-run come-from-behind win against their in-state rival. In his outing on March 29, Christie helped Louisiana throw a one-hit shutout against a Sun Belt opponent for the first time since 2014.

Better with age
Jack Burk will go for Louisiana on Tuesday night. Burk earned his first start of the season on Monday, March 29, against Coastal, posting a career-high eight strikeouts in five innings pitched. Burk has made three appearances on the year and lowered his season-ERA to 1.29 in 14.0 innings pitched.

Scouting the enemy
Nicholls enters Tuesday night's game posting a 13-13 record and sit at 8-4 in the Southland Conference, which is good for the second-best spot in its conference.

Against Nicholls
This season, Louisiana already took a game from Nicholls, beating the Colonels 9-8 at Ben Meyer Diamond at Ray E. Didier Field on March 16. After Nicholls tagged Louisiana for four runs and brought the game to 9-8 in the bottom of the eighth inning, Austin Bradford shut the door for Louisiana, tossing 1.2 innings and recording the save.
