I don't understand trying to steal 3rd with no outs and Dalton at the plate. Cost a run.

It might also be a case of just learning. Figuring out these things now could help come postseason. Nothing like being under fire and having to perform. Just a guess on my part but sometimes coaches will be coaches and not always do what the book says as far as scoring runs.

Got a chance to see the women vs. Ga Southern in that Monday DH. I'll be with them in Texas this week. Pitching has taken a big step forward during this winning streak. (Ten home runs in the GSU series didn't hurt.)

It will hurt us to play them. We need to win those two games and hope Lamar starts winning games.

With Talley speed yes. I think its more of just letting G State know that we have speed and will push the envelope. It cost us a run, but we should win easy today regardless.

.......I have been waiting for this speed subject to come up.....first what is the substitution rule for softball? Can a player return after being subbed for a runner? With the speed of our 4 x 1 relay team why not get the fastest 1 or 2 to pinch run??? Btw same in baseball just for late game needs?

A player can return after being subbed for a runner once, on the second time they have to come out of the game. As for track players playing softball, just because your fast doesn't mean you will be a good baserunner. Example Dalton has below average speed yet she is one of our top baserunners. Izard is probably our fastest runner and has made some bone headed base running mistakes. If it was that easy everyone would have some of there relay teams as sub runners.

......Well, college football had drop kicks, straight approach kickers, and now the soccer style guys....offensive linemen would never have pass blocked with their hands....Try it and when it becomes a no brained.....just call it Boomer steals, Boomer extra base extensions, and Boomer tags......base running is not rocket science!! Why do we pinch run in the instant place???
