Almost immediately after learning last weekend that he was an indoor track and field All-American, UL pole vaulter Chris Roy was already focused on starting the outdoor season.

"I enjoy my success for a little bit," said the junior from Breaux Bridge. "But I'm always looking to work toward getting better."

UL will open the outdoor season today at home in the Louisiana Classics Meet. The Ragin' Cajuns, LSU, Tulane, McNeese State, Northwestern State, Nicholls State, UL Monroe, Southeastern Louisiana, Xavier (La.) and South Alabama are set to compete in the event.
