There are three UL opponents to come with an RPI in the top 50. And,, I'm talking conference play. If we win, the RPI will improve. To suggest our schedule in the SBC will bring down our RPI is fallacy.

Last year SBC play would have decimated Louisiana's RPI.

It happened before when Louisiana had the #1 out of conference RPI in the country and SBC play kept UL from hosting.

This year with the RPI hovering near 50, the SBC play effect will be much less.

And those same teams have to play the same 100+ RPI teams we do. It’s a fallacy to think we’re immune just by reputation. We’ll know more at the end of the season...or after the next 6 games even.

RPI of 50+ won’t get an SBC team an at large. Book it.

No because it is a strict statistical calculation. No one has any type of advantage from prior years because that is not part of the equation. It is also the reason RPI doesnt become meaningful until you and the rest of the teams have played enough games to get a valid sample size.
