Is game on yet?
Tomorrow I believe
Thursday.
I love Glasco's ANYTIME ANYWHERE attitude.
At some point his attitude will manifest itself with the team.
After that dreadful loss to Baylor and having so many games cancelled, I'd say we need both wins at Texas to even think about hosting. I hope there's been a spark this week and the bats have woken up.
Cajuns split the doubleheader, losing game #1 4-0 and winning game #2 10-9.
As I mentioned in a previous post, the Cajuns needed to go 3-1 in the final 4 games against power conference opponents (2 vs. Texas, 2 at Alabama). For that to happen, they will now need to win both at Tuscaloosa. I won't count them out from doing that, but there are glaring weaknesses in the pitching that need to be fixed for them to pull that off.
I'm not concerned about the offense going forward. They will get enough batting practice against the pitching staffs in this league to be ready for postseason. But if the Cajun pitching staff does not start improving the movement on their pitches, spot their pitches inside and outside the strike zone better and show a greater differentiation between their fastballs and changeups, they won't make it out of a regional much less go to the World Series.
