It was hard to tell based on a poor camera angle, but it looked like that ground ball pulled Lada deep and towards third and I remember thinking damn this is going to be a tough throw across the diamond and then he instead tried to get the runner out at third. Not saying it was the right play I just don’t know based on the camera angle how difficult the throw to first would have been.
