Coach Heather is retiring

The winningest head coach in Louisiana Volleyball history, Heather Mazeitis-Fontenot, has announced her retirement as the leader of the Ragin' Cajuns. Mazeitis-Fontenot, with 186 victories at the University, recently completed her 13th season leading the Ragin' Cajuns and 26th overall as a volleyball head coach.

With baseball and softball; not to mention the tail end of basketball going on; I figured I’d give a shout to Volleyball. Coach Heather announced retirement from her post today. I for one will always be grateful of her contribution to the Culture and her formation of these young ladies. And we were ranked this year. Thank for everything coach. Best wishes.

Ok thanks. I am not really familiar with the program and what direction they would more than likely take. I trust Maggard will make a quality hire.

I would think a smart move would be to allow Coach to help with the search

Dr. M said nationwide search. He’s been pretty consistent in bringing in really good outside people. Look fwd to who he hires.
