Tremendous Start
Louisiana's 6-2 start is one of the best in recent memory. The team's start is only bested by the 2005, 2013 and 2014 teams in the last 20 seasons. The 6-2 start for Louisiana matches the best start of Coach Deggs' head coaching career, the other coming in 2018 when Sam Houston State started the season at 6-2.

Roc(k) Solid
Carson Roccaforte had an unreal week for Louisiana at the plate, batting .625 (10-for-16) with three doubles, three RBI and five runs scored in five games played. Roccaforte is the conference's leader in hits (13) and the only player in the conference hitting .500 or higher, minimum 17 at-bats. The freshman would still be one of 13 players to own double-digit hits if his first three games of the season were taken away. This past week, Roccaforte went 6-for-6 when leading off the inning and 4-for-8 with runners on base.

Did someone order Arrighetti with a side of dominance
In his first start at Louisiana, Spencer Arrighetti tossed 6.1 innings of one-hit baseball against Louisiana Tech, who is hitting .329 as a team this year. Arrighetti also picked up a save in his second appearance of the week against Rice, sealing a 5-3 win for the Cajuns. Using his outings this past week, Arrighetti is now the conference's ERA leader (0.00), tied for the sixth-most strikeouts (13) in the conference and is letting opposing batters hit (.037) against him.

Need a Talley
Currently, Brandon Talley is tied for second in the country in pitching appearances with five. Among the 11 players that have made five appearances, Tally has logged the second most innings (6.1).

One with the Owls
With his start on Sunday, Carter Robinson has now faced Rice twice in his career. Robinson is 2-0 against the Owls, pitching in 11.1 innings and giving up one earned run and recording 11 strikeouts.

Durke is Dealing
Even though Hayden Durke gave up three runs in his first start at Russo Park, the true freshman has a team-leading 14 strikeouts. Through two starts, Durke is just one of seven Sun Belt pitchers with an ERA south of 3.00 (min. 10.0 inning).
