Thread: Baseball: Louisiana to Host Tech on Tuesday, March 2

  1. UL Baseball Baseball: Louisiana to Host Tech on Tuesday, March 2

Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Baseball will host Louisiana Tech on Tuesday, March 2, in a game that was originally scheduled to be played in Ruston.

First pitch has been set for 6 p.m. at M.L. 'Tigue' Moore Field at Russo Park. The game is sponsored by McDonald's.

Tech's baseball facility, the new J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park, is still receiving final phases of construction in recovery from the 2019 tornado that caused massive destruction in the area.

This adds another home game for Louisiana, which brings its season total up to 33 home games.

Priority access for tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for 2020 Ragin' Cajuns Baseball season ticket holders who did not receive tickets this season.

These single-game tickets will be available in pods up to four seats, based on availability, and will go on sale starting Monday at the Louisiana Ticket Office located at the CAJUNDOME (open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.).

Remaining tickets will go on sale Tuesday for the general public. All ticket purchases must be made in-person at the CAJUNDOME, as no digital ticket purchases will be available for this stand-alone matchup.

Suite holders, patio box and loge box holders have tickets to Tuesday's game pre- loaded into their Ticketmaster Account Manager. Supreme Rice Field Club seat holders will receive more information on available options from RCAF on the limited number of available seats.

Those who had season tickets prior to this year and did not get a chance to renew were allowed to purchase tickets today. Tomorrow sales are open to everyone. Sales are in person only.

So they didn't sell it out. Many must have opt out. Looking at the stands on ESPN+ you could see many areas where seats where available. What is the total attendance they are allowing? And apparently mask is not Mandatory.

They allow around 800 in the stands and then some in the suites, patio, and club levels. They also require fans to wear masks when walking around the stadium. Most fans take theirs off when they are seated.

Just had to gloat a little here in Texas. No more mask mandate as of next Wednesday! Come on Louisiana, follow the leader!

The game was not part of the package. It was added later.
