thanks for helping out. Just so I understand: there is no way for peons to change the title of a thread they start, correct? It can only be done by a moderator type person?

I will have to check but I think the thread creator has 15 or 20 minutes to change the title of their thread.

Oh well, that might be the case....but I didn't find out the plans had changed until a couple of hours after I started the thread.
