Respect for McNeese softball. They are usually a solid team and this year have a monster of a schedule. They have a top 20 win already and some close losses to other top 25 teams. They’ve played 8 of them so far with another 3 coming this weekend. Time to root for them as they’ll help our RPI.

But they lost. Who have they beaten is a better gauge for their relative strength. I mean Marlin could schedule top twenty teams and lose them all. Who has his teams beaten?

So I’m not saying Brokebacks aren’t competitive. I’m just saying anybody can lose to superior opponents. UL hasn’t beaten a top tier team yet this year. We’re projecting on our history and the current players.
