That's more like it...
Bobby ties Kermit Davis for total wins. Both in 11 seasons. He’s very likely to end the year with the most. Richard is in hot persuit for 2nd place this or next year.
Having Au and Butts out may turn out to be a good thing in the long run. Gave Harper more playing time. That should help his development. 19 points with 5 made three pointers today is certainly encouraging. I wonder if the coaches told him to look for his shot more. After a couple go down you feel it. Despite what the statisticians may say, there is such a thing as the "hot hand" for a player and he sure caught it today. All you have played the game a little can probably recall a time or two when you caught it as well. Nice feeling isn't it. Unfortunately it does not last. While I don't expect 70 percent shooting from Ty every game, he has skills to be consistently around 50 percent or higher.
It was only fitting that the school where Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Basketball coach Bob Marlin began his coaching career would be the place he would earn a milestone victory. Mylik Wilson scored 20 points to lead three players in double figures and Louisiana shot 56 percent from the floor and sank a season-high 14 3-pointers in an 88-72 win over ULM in a Sun Belt Conference game on Saturday at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
Wilson had an impressive stat line. 20 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 block. Without that clunker on Thursday, he may have been in line for player of week. He may be getting more comfortable playing point guard regularly. He likely will do that to the end due to the AU injury. Still needs to cut down on turnovers and that will happen with more focus.
