UL Softball 2-9-21 Final SB Scrimmage

Just my view from today's scrimmage.

    Black team starters:

    P Dixon
    C Mayeau
    1st Student Manager
    2nd Boswell
    SS Sands
    3rd Piskos
    LF Talley
    CF Izard
    RF Heath

    Red team starters:

    P Lamb
    C Curry
    1st Roman
    2nd Alderink
    SS Dalton
    3rd Gortarez
    LF Kean
    CF O'neal
    RF Bryan

    I didn't see Rawls.

Dixon looked really good and so did Lamb. Lamb change up looked great. Summer came in relief in the middle of the game and pitched well. Foreman was hit hard. Snow and Heath pitched to a few batters and both did good.

Hr by Oneal and Piskos. Oneal hit it off Summer but Piskos signaled the wrong pitch to Summer. Coach Mike did a very good job of coaching Piskos up after that. Piskos came off of Foreman.

The team worked alot on bunting and bunting defense. At one point practice was stopped and the girls had to run because Coach wasnt happy with the overall bunting of the team. He even made it a point that all D1 girls need to be able to get the bunt down as needed. There was a lot of aggressive coaching going on. Coach also has been challenging the girls to make the other girls better. This is a tight knit team that brings a lot of competition to the field. Looks like Coach was fine tuning everything for this weekend. Piskos, Gortarez and Mayeaux looked good at 3rd. See you at the park friday.

  4. UL Softball High expectations not concerning for UL softball

NCAA softball is about to kick off.

Louisiana comes into this season with the highest of expectations, not from outside sources though.

The ladies on this team are holding themselves accountable to each other
