Thread: FCS spring season

    UL Football FCS spring season

I seldom watch these games but I’m excited to have football in the spring. They kickoff Saturday. A couple of Louisiana schools are ranked. Nicholls is #8 SLU #11. For me at least it’s better than watching your standard spring sports.

I'll probably watch some too; I tried watching cricket but that didn't work out too well!

It will be nice to have something to watch with basketball since I just can't watch baseball.

I have tried for many years to understand cricket but without much luck. There are some teams that play matches at the UL intramural fields and I've tried to watch them there, but that was even more confusing.

Getting football in spring- even if 1AA- is great. Better than USFL!

What is the drink to have while watching? Maybe that has been our problem!

A cricket 1 day test (game) is more exciting. It's all about offense. This 5 day tests are difficult as they tend to be about wearing out the bowlers (pitchers) and it can still end in a draw!

I use to get a chuckle when they made a field goal and a ref dressed like those old Spy Vs. Spy cartoons. He would do a weird gun like thing with his hands to signal the field goal was good. In fairness, they probably think our football is weird.

The only time I got into baseball is when we were in the World Series. One time I walked out of an Angels game after the third inning. But I know plenty of people that love it. Heck I like Curling. Not exactly a mainstream sport.
