I don't think we did. I think we filled the two defensive but I haven't seen official announcements as yet. Our pay for coach Sale was a pretty good salary for an OC but they may just want to hire an OL coach for right now to save some money for the short term?

Now that I'm thinking more, could this be why we hired coach Viator as a "recruiting advisor"?

Sale and the Giants are still working out contract details, so the deal is not done yet, but heading in that direction. The Giants had two offensive line coaches in Judge's first season following Marc Colombo's firing for insubordination and not being on the same page after an altercation with Judge in November. Colombo was replaced by Dave DeGuglielmo, who was initially set to join the staff as a consultant.

Was lurking on the barkless b!+€hes site after see that info. Found some interesting things while I was visiting.

This OL coach hire is an attempt to fix their porous line but the problems go way deeper. While every D1 football team is allowed to expand their roster to accommodate the extra year seniors, the mighty Rustonian are sticking to the original 85 scholarship limit. Add in their refusal to pay stipends and it's very clear they're cash strapped and resource limited. This past year must have affected them more than they are letting on.

The effects of the budget issues on the football team still remains to be seen but they were hoping to back fill talent gaps with transfers. They've only been able to convince 3 young men with questionable skills to join so far.
