2) you have to travel 70 miles to be entertained in off season, Monroe is no fun anymore either.

well your arguement is just plain stupid. Most big universities sit in the middle of a cultural black hole. And there is alot of support for the baseball program. You should have enough pride in your job no matter where you are to coach to the best of your ability. I am sure Nick Saban is not saying. TUSCALOOSA, has much more to offer than Ruston, LA. I assure you. and Tech ain't Bama. Tech in Ruston, LA and ALabama in Tuscaloosa. Not a good comparison. Even Nicholls in Thibodeau and Tech in Ruston, LA. just the schools are different. gotta laugh about it.
