1-31-21 SB Scrimmage

Folks we are getting close to opening day. Here is the view from my seat today.

*Summer and Lamb pitched 97 percent of the scrimmage both rotated in and out. Summer looked good and Lamb struggled to get outs. Foreman and Dixon closed out and only faced a few batters.

*Roman hit the only homerun.

*There was a lot of bunting and stealing going on which we looked good in, the bad thing is we didn't field the bunt or throw out runners well at all.

*Mayeaux looks like she could be a solid backup at catcher. She has the arm and speed.

*Alderink looked good in the field.

*Talley looked strong at the plate and will definitely push for a lot of playing time.

*In my mind the fight for the #2 pitcher is still ongoing.
