Poll More Great Publicity For UL

    https://www.espn.com/college-footbal...ke-playoff-run
    Yes, Yes, very premature.
But still @ #19 -and LSU @ #20, it made me laugh thinking of the response on Tigger Droppings

Wow! I didn’t think I would live to see UL ranked. Now I’m starting to dream the impossible dream. Could we end up national champion in the next 5 years or so?

Settle down, baw. We undefeated for a shot at NY6 Bowl. Let’s just get there first, as very few G5 teams do.

Also, there was already a ____show of Insecure U vs. other SEC school fans and UL fans over that ESPN ranking on Tigerdroppings.

Let's be real here. The likelyhood, due to their budget, returning players and recruiting record over the past 5 years, of LSU finishing the 2021 season ranked lower that 20 is pretty slim. So #20 might be the floor for them.

Cajuns, on the other hand, that's mad respect and props to put us at #19 off the bat. The first game out the gate will determine if we remain in that running, or if our ceiling is 20-25. If we lose to Texas but beat everyone else, I'm not sure we get higher than 20 unless we get matched in a bowl game vs. a Top 25 ranked P5 program and win.

Look at Iowa State. Lost to us. Finished the season with three losses, but they're #8 on that list.

Napier and the team can only control their wins and losses. Other stuff that falls into place will be out of control. We can go undefeated, and a 2-loss LSU will likely be ranked ahead of us, unless we are the only losses for Texas and Liberty.

I look at the 2020 season as ammunition for anyone who says that we can't compete. Boy, did we. Beat the Fiesta Bowl champion by 17, finished the season ranked in the top 15.

But silly preseason rankings like this are just fun to use against the Wal-Mart tiger fans who think there is nothing else in Louisiana outside of Alice Shoe. You're second best in this poll, bud.

You do realize when the final Playoff Rankings for bowl placement came out , two loss Oklahoma and three loss Florida were ranked ahead of both undefeated Cincy and Coastal, right?

My "SEC Commish Press Release" is just the reality right now, whether we like it or not.

He doesn’t realize a lot of things. Which is why he talks to himself so much on these boards.
