Thread: Saints fall short again

    Default Saints fall short again

Back to not caring about the NFL again for me. I wanted to see Brees get another ring, but instead, #$@& Brady is the one still standing.

Another Super Bowl I won't be watching this year.

    Ah well.

Although IMHO, I have always felt that pulling for a pro team is like rooting for a corporation in which you don't own stock...

You could tell that Drew's drive is still there, but his gas tank is empty. 20 years of being a generously 6 foot tall NFL quarterback takes its toll.

I applaud the man for helping the Saints achieve things never thought possible before he arrived here. And he did it while being a model citizen and a class act on & off the field.

He will be just as successful in the broadcast booth as he was on the Superdome turf.

Unfortunately, I'm thinking there's gonna be some lean seasons in NOLA for the foreseeable future though.

Brady is the GOAT, and looks like he could go another year or two. I don't know enough about his personality to judge him that way, but I sure do appreciate watching him play.

If Brees does leave, we have the staff to help a guy like Winston should he stay and become the starter. If not, the QB market is going to be an active one this year so there's always a chance we could luck out on a solid veteran.

Yep. Best NFL QB to ever play, and I say that as a Montana fan.

Saints may be 91 million over the cap. Even if that's not a correct number, going to be a ton of negotiating before they can reach out to any FA.

Brees is the GOAT. He beats out Brady in head to head games. Now it’s time for him to retire. He can’t throw the deep ball anymore and he’s accuracy is off. I wish him the best and thank him for the memories.

No doubt age has made a difference but it would be interesting to see stats before and after the injury. Kind of tough to throw deep or accurate when your rib cage is hurting.

Excellent point. I forgot he was playing hurt.
