The last time we had a 6'1 220+ running back was Alonzo Harris ?
On 247, he is #32 and Carencro Williams is 35, so very comparable. If Kendrell Williams also signs, then I believe Terrence Williams could be moving to LB, at which he also excels.
According to many, Devin White was a better RB than LB in HS, obviously it was a very good decision by LSU to have him focus on LB.
Williams and Williams, your first down firm
So far, outside of QB, it seems that this staff has recruited fairly well. Finding not only good athletes, but football players, as well. Sure, they have missed on some, but I like the fact measurables aren't the only thing the staff is looking at. They value football playmakers as well.
Every QB recruit has been a 3 star. So i will say the staff has recruited well overall.
The vast majority of the players that have been recruited under Coach Napier were 3* recruits. Outside of QB, all other positions have seen major contributions from his recruits. Levi's success has a major impact on that, obviously, but it doesn't appear that any QB recruit brought in has really pushed for the starting position/playing time.
You can only judge if they recruited well, if the results are shown on the field. So far, no results on the field from that position.
After leading Many High School to the 2A state championship a few weeks ago, Terrence Williams committed to UL on Saturday with the intent to win more championships with the Ragin' Cajuns.
A three-year starter at running back for Many, Williams rushed for 3,500 yards the past two seasons. The 6-foot-1, 225-pounder also spent considerable time at linebacker during his senior season.
