Thread: Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns coach Billy Napier won't rest on ranking but wants it both ways

  1. UL Football Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns coach Billy Napier won't rest on ranking but wants it both ways

What coach Billy Napier does works, which should bode well for UL going forward. Yet Napier also has historically said each season is its own. Every year begins anew. There are new players, new assistants, new staffers, new problems, new obstacles to overcome.

So has the bar been set for the Cajuns, giving them a measuring stick for what’s ahead? Or will 2021 truly be a new year, with nothing that’s happened previously influencing what will happen next? As Napier sees it after three seasons at UL, he can have things both ways.

I’m pretty sure Billy understands what he can count on and what has to be anew.

"To be honest … Commissioner Gill did a fantastic job of keeping us aware of all the potential options,” Maggard said, “but I know he – really no different than us – was getting a lot of different input from ESPN."

General media Q: does this really require a source much less an an anonymous source? Seems something any journalist could easily proove as fact or not on their own- "The Ragin’ Cajuns never before have ended a season nationally ranked, a program spokesman said.".... And likely worked around cajun athletics longer than all the "program spokesmen" added together?

What does it matter, it's a true statement, UL/USL/SLI has NEVER finished a season ranked. You sure do ask a lot of questions about media and journalism, why is that? Obviously you know nothing about either, so what's the point of asking?
