GSU's Shai Werts Transferring to Louisville

I just read that Shai Werts (who seems to have been at Georgia Southern for 100 years), is transferring to Louisville.

Yes it is. But they are getting a big time transfer from Georgia tech. He has not played much there but was a 4 star recruit out of high school.

He had 20 FCS offers out of high school including

Not to mention they return a player that has been in their system for 4 years in Justin Tomlin.

I would assume that Graham will come in with the edge as he has played and started at GT. While his numbers were not outstanding they were pretty good when he played. He was rated as the 17th best athlete in 2017 class. He only played in 3 games his true freshman year, so he was eligible for a RS.

As a RS Freshman in 2019, he rushed for 429 yards in 11 games and 3 TD's. He also completed 87 of 193 passes and 12 TD's and 7 INT's and 1164 yards.

He is a very similar player to Werts. Can pass when needed to, but usually it is when teams are putting 8 in the box and playing man to man on the corners expecting the run. But is very capable of breaking runs for large chunks, specifically in a triple option offense with other weapons in the backfield. If he is decent they will be OK specifically considering they get back 2 of their top 3 running backs in:

#3 RB Logan Wright

They do lose Wesley Kennedy who was kicked off the team late in the year.
