Support Who is owed the money

....As I check the final conference standings for the year and it shows an ever shrinking margin of AAC over The Belt (10 points) for #1.......what is the money distribution looking like for the Bowls and final standings? Are there formulae that are used or how is it done?Seems like we should be getting some pretty good rewards!

I thought the formula is based on hoops wins but bowls is simply all the bowl payouts per your conf team minus expenses divided by teams??? Now what counts as a bowl expense and who checks that, idk? Coaches bowl bonus could in some cases "wipe out" entire payout

    Group of 5

    $90 million collective pool

The “Group of 5” (the American Athletic Conference, Conference USA, Mid-American Conference, Mountain West Conference and Sun Belt Conference) divide their collective pool pursuant to an agreement and formula devised by those conferences. Although that formula has not been formally disclosed to the public, reports have the majority shared equally, with a small portion set aside to be distributed based on performance.

I have heard that small amount per G5 school is not as small as the secret formula folks would have you believe. The better your conference does, the more each school in your league gets. Now, we may all share equally in whatever the payout is in the SBC.

Math for SBC and 10 teams works much better than 14. sunbelt will be #2 of 5.

Even the part shared equally between each conference is better by 28.6% more $$ per team in Sunbelt vs CUSA.

Funny part.....ULM with 0 wins will likely be close to double the amount rewarded vs the LTURds.

Unless those four teams move us up the rankings? Or if those four increase the aggregate and the 90 million becomes higher?

Well they’re both in the same academic level, so that’s about fair.

Maybe the university system could tax all the member schools and reallocate based on an academic measure?

Seems like the SBC has less schools per G5 to divide the money. This is smart! SBC will have more resources to rise to the top.
