Not sure, he only had 10 carries less than Mitchell, and I think Mitchell is a better RB. However, I do believe he could've been used a few more times in short yardage situation.

For me, it is probably Fleming. He and Williams averaged the most yards per catch, but I feel Fleming is more dynamic after the catch of all of our receivers.

......I know this will surprise some but one guy broke (I think) 2 UL records.....longest FG by Snyder and unofficially the longest KO.....from the 20 yd line into the end zone.......so if my math is correct that is 80 yards plus about 5 more in the end zone....also it was when we needed it!

Short yardage was where Ragas was used but not enough.

Mitchell was thrown for a loss every 6 carries, Ragas every 9 carries. Mitchell had 118 positive/neutral yard carries and Ragas had 116 on 10 fewer carries.

Ragas kept drives alive, fewer big plays, more sustained drives with fewer lost yardage situations and more positive gain situations.

Against Coastal he could have kept the ball out of their hands. Averaging 7.7 yards per carry with his longest being 22 yards, he needed more touches than 10.

Receptions on the year; 9 receptions (2 for TDs) was not enough.

I would have used him a little more, especially against Coastal Carolina.

ps Not sure I would not have taken any touches away from Mitchell.

I am a big fan of Ragas, but I don't believe he should be getting more touches than Mitchell. As you said, Mitchell is more of a game breaker, where Ragas is a sledgehammer. I would agree, both probably could have used more touches, but given the stats, both were utilized very similarly.

I can understand Coach Napier spreading the load across three backs, as their production/health seems to stay consistent through the season. That is not an easy thing to accomplish for a RB in today's environment.

I love me some Ragas but Mitchell is so damed explosive. I’m confident whoever is called for a particular play. We have just witnessed a threesome of Mitchell, Ragas, and Calais that isn’t likely to be ever seen again on a Cajun team.
