    That’s the way it goes
You know what's the difference between Iowa State and Louisiana?

    Conference Membership.

If we were to wake up tomorrow a Big 12 member, our athletic budgets would be fairly close due to revenue sharing and our stadium upgrade would begin within weeks ending up looking the same as a few stadiums currently in that conference.

You enjoy stating the obvious. Everyone understands our circumstance.

Morning fellas! Reading through this thread, this was Iowa State’s best team ever. Beat Oklahoma, still a rare event. Beat Texas, always the most satisfying win. Won a NY6 Bowl. And the Cajuns whooped us that first game and I’m absolutely positive they would have whooped Oregon as well! Here’s to both teams hanging on to their coaches, having a tremendous off season and an outstanding 2021 season! Go Clones and Geaux Cajuns!

Thanks for the kind words, Iowa State had a fantastic year along with the Cajuns. Here's to hoping 2021 is a great year for both teams again.

Is another difference that iowa state didnt have 70 years of a state government choosing another school in same state over them at every resourcing decision. And also didnt have their already limited resources piddled away by having unwanted inferior schools shoved down their university system's throat that the other system cast aside

Schools are allocated state funds based on a formula including enrollment, majors, and other factors. The money is allocated directly to the school not the system to which thy school belongs. UNO received the same amoun she try it they are in the LSU system or the university of Louisiana system.
